I'm afraid of heights

So, I did go on the Ferris Wheel. It was scary. But not that scary. And I got a really cool pic outta the deal!

We found a great Caribbean place called Cha Cha Chicken for lunchin Santa Monica. It was delicious! 

Prologue....

As you all know, Casey and I have been planning our West Coast Road Trip for some time. We are super duper excited to hit the road! I've decided to blog it as we travel so our nearest and dearest can follow along even without Facebook.

We'll start in Los Angeles. Over the course of 11 days we will make our way up the West Coast through California, Oregon and Washington State via Routes 1 & 101, then fly home from Seattle. So check back for updates and (more importantly) photos!

Thursday, 8/28: Humboldt Redwoods State Park

Friday, 8/29: Sunset Bay State Park, Oregon

Saturday, 8/30: Astoria, Oregon

Sunday & Monday, 8/31 & 9/1: Ocean Shores, Washington (With the Battles from Seattle!)

Tuesday, 9/2: Drive to Seattle, fly home to Kansas City
